Stewardship Campaign 2023
The theme of our fall stewardship appeal is “Called and sent to love and serve…with joy.”
As part of this emphasis, we’ll explore how joy (not happiness, but joy) is essential to the spiritual life, and we’ll remember the joy we’ve witnessed around our church over the last year. We’ll also reflect on how we might grow in generosity…and in joy…in the year ahead.
God, right now, I choose joy.
I don’t know where my mind will wander tomorrow. Where my flesh will try to take me.
I know I am tugged in a dozen different directions. By my past desires, my future strivings, my human weaknesses.
Perhaps not always in the future—certainly not always in the past—but right now, right now, Lord, I choose joy.
Help me keep choosing, consciously, each day that I walk this earth.
Amen.
