More than just clean clothes ...
Senior Suds
Senior Suds is a program that offers free laundry vouchers for seniors in our community. This program is the result of a partnership between CtK, Clay Food Pantry, the St. Joseph County Health Department, and Burton’s Laundry.
Senior Suds is open to St. Joseph County residents age 55 and older who receive SNAP benefits. Here’s how it works:
- Pre-register to receive a prepaid Burton’s Laundry card by clicking the blue button below or by calling Clay Food Pantry at (574) 272-8083 ext. 25.
- Stop by Clay Food Pantry during guest hours to pick up your card. Be sure to bring your ID and SNAP card as proof of eligibility. (Note that participants are limited to one laundry card per month.)
- Use your card at any Burton’s Laundry location at the time of your choosing.
Please note that we will not be accepting new laundry signups until January 2026.
Sorry for the inconvenience!
Clay Food Pantry is located at 17646 Cleveland Road in South Bend. Guest hours are Mondays from 12–3 pm and Thursdays from 9 am–12 pm. In addition to picking up your laundry card, you can receive food pantry items. Hot meals are also offered for pickup on Mondays.
Laundry cards can be used at any Burton’s Laundry location. If you require assistance at the laundromat, a representative from the St. Joseph County Department of Health will be onsite at Burton’s River Park and Mishawaka Lincolnway West locations on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month from 9 am–12 pm.
